A friend of mine introduced me to a designer, D with impeccable taste and style which reflected in her choice of office space: A fabulous full floor penthouse with tremendous light, views and character.
D has more space than she currently needs and she plans to sublease half of the space. As D's assistant showed us the entire space and indicated the part that D prefers to rent out, we quickly pointed out that the potential sublet space is near the entrance with minimum privacy which will make the sublet space less desirable. Nevertheless, our team still helped D to find potential tenants.
D had some visitors came to check out her space but no offers followed. She took our opinion of the privacy issue into consideration and decided to keep the portion of the space near the entrance to her own team and sublease out the other part of the space that has much more privacy. Within a week we found a business with very trendy looking employees as the new sub-tenant for D.
The sharing of space for these two companies has been a rather pleasant experience for both because they are not in the same industry yet they share similar culture: edgy, creative and young. We made a good match.
